Depending on your locality to Greater Manchester UK, delivery is FREE on computer systems. Anywhere further than our coverage area will incur a small charge to cover our delivery costs.

I have an old system and it has a problem, can you solve it?

If you wish, we can take a look at your system and try our very best to get the system back to working order. We also provide Services, repairs, virus removals, and other professional services. Terms and conditions apply.

There are too many computers, what do I choose?

We understand that buying a new computer is a difficult step to take, but at Solution we are here to help. If you need any help choosing a system, let us know and we will do our very best to to make suitable suggestions to you. We can look at your needs and requirements and provide a system that you are comfortable with and we aim suit your requirements.

Computers get viruses, what are they?

Computer viruses are small programs that intend to damage or cause a problem on a computer, see Flamewall security Computer virus information guide for in depth information. If you wish, we can provide you with an Antivirus Package preinstalled. We cannot guarantee that any antivirus will remove ALL viruses - but it is far better then none at all.

Can I use USB 2.0 and Firewire?

As we build most computers, individual to your specification, you can select USB and/or Firewire option, it will then be provided with your new computer. However, many of today’s computers have USB 2.0 as standard.

I cannot set my PC up can you help me?

Yes, of course. At Solution we will be pleased to help you set-up your new computer system. We know that setting up a computer for the first time is a headache, but we are here to help. We will arrange a time when it suits you, we will then deliver the system and set it up, and in a matter of minutes we can show you just what your new computer can do, we will even get you up and running on the internet if you wish. Set-up fees apply.

How future proof are your computers?

Most of our systems are upgradeable, we ensure that we mix and match only high quality compatible components and parts. If you ever feel you need that extra speed, then contact us and get a quote for an upgrade, this is cheaper to existing customers.

I have heard of DDR, RDDR and DDR2/3, what are they?

DDR is double data rate memory. This is faster than it's predecessor, SD-RAM.

RDDR is just another name for DDR 400 (PC3200) and faster.

DDR2 and 3 are faster, theoretically, than DDR - with the correct processor you can obtain fairly rapid speeds with fast DDR2-3 memory.

How do I update my computer, can you help?

At our new support site, we give links to all the motherboard manufacturer’s sites and provide instructions on how to update your computer. We do not suggest you do this though - unless you know exactly what you are doing and we cannot provide support on this.

Alternatively, simply go to http://update.microsoft.com for windows updates - which microsoft deem as critical security fixes. Also ensure you update any antivirus software at least every week.

Can I upgrade/repair an older/previous system via Solutions services?
